The Bengaluru cricketer and Triumphant Sports brand ambassador on choosing her own path, making opportunities count and working towards the WPL. It is the chance to begin doing what matters: playing, performing and helping her team win. She wants to represent India, play in the Women’s Premier League and explore franchise cricket overseas. But her ambitions extend beyond earning a place. She wants to make a difference once she gets there. Now part of T-GNG, Shishira brings that same intent to her next chapter with Triumphant Sports. Her story is still unfolding. The direction, however, is clear. Her next try: **WPL.** The beginning ## Cricket began with an invitation from her father. A doctor who organised tournaments within the medical community, he would take Shishira along with him. One day, he asked her to pick up a bat and play. She played well. What began as a simple invitation from her father became the start of a journey shaped by cricket's challenges, constant learning and the desire to improve every day. The game offered more than excitement. There were things to learn, problems to work through and another opportunity to improve every time she returned. The ups and downs became part of the attraction. In a family where doctors, engineers and academic achievement were the familiar path, building a sporting career meant balancing different demands. Her father had introduced her to the game, but education and cricket both required commitment. Finding room for her sporting ambitions was not straightforward. The move from age-group cricket into senior competition brought a difficult realisation. Shishira knew she needed to establish herself at the next level. Otherwise, she might have to fall back on another career path. That uncertainty became a turning point. Shishira wants to play matches, contribute to performances and help turn those performances into victories. Representing India remains an ambition, but the purpose is not simply to wear the shirt. It is to contribute to the team wearing it. That ambition also shapes the person she wants to become. Humble and kind, while bringing aggression, intent and complete commitment to her sport. Results matter. So does the effort behind them. Shishira describes her approach in three commitments: being consistent, believing in herself and exploring opportunities fearlessly. Consistency means continuing to work towards improvement. Belief means backing the direction she has chosen. Courage means remaining open to where the game could take her, including the possibility of franchise cricket beyond India. T-GNG ## She wants support for her journey to reach further. Shishira says her association with Triumphant Sports is already helping her. She has also identified what would make a deeper difference: greater sponsorship and support that would allow her to focus on her cricketing performance rather than the other demands surrounding an athlete's career. She would like continued support to reach more female cricketers and athletes as well. That ambition matters to us. Through T-GNG, we want to recognise the commitment behind an athlete's goals and give her story a platform. For Shishira, that means sharing more than a scorecard: her introduction to cricket, the senior-level turning point that shaped her decision and the opportunities she is still pursuing. Through T-GNG, we're sharing Shishira's journey while listening to what she and other female athletes say they need. Practical support and sponsorship matter, but so does giving their ambitions greater visibility. Her story belongs to her; our role is to help more people see it. ## For her, #KeepTrying is not limited to cricket. It is an approach to the goals and problems that do not resolve themselves on the first attempt. Trying again takes courage. It also takes belief that another attempt can make a difference, even before there is a result to show for it. **You do not need to have reached your destination for your effort to matter.** Shishira has chosen her direction. Representing India remains an ambition. Playing overseas remains something she wants to explore. The next target is the WPL. Getting there would be an opportunity.
